How to export your bank statements and transactions
How to download your statements and transactions from any South African bank, in CSV, OFX, Excel or PDF, ready for your accountant.
Sending us your transactions in a clean file keeps your bookkeeping accurate, your tax up to date, and your records ready for SARS. The best way to do that depends on your bank.
Not every bank exports CSV. Use whatever official format your bank offers. A data file (CSV, OFX or Excel) is best because it imports straight into your books, but a clear PDF statement is perfectly fine if that is all your bank provides.
The general idea
- Log in to your internet banking on a computer, or open your banking app.
- Find Statements, Transaction history, or Account documents.
- Set the date range we asked for, so the file is complete.
- Download or export in the best format your bank offers (CSV, OFX or Excel, otherwise PDF).
- Send the file to us securely.
